Bookvip
I just went to the bookvip (costa rica) presentation about a week ago (March 2016). It was totally legit. The salesperson eats breakfast with you and you sit through a sales presentation (expect it to last the full 2 hours). There will be moderate pressure for you to buy..... even though they will tell you that there will be no pressure for you to buy before the presentation starts. If you plan on taking a trip once a year for the next ten years (or your kids will using your vacation package) then it is a good value (as long as you vacation in the Caribbean). Make sure you have a major credit card NOT A DEBIT CARD or they won't even let you check into the hotel/resort. They will offer you a package upgrade if you decide to purchase the vacation share package during the presentation. If you skip the presentation altogether you will be charged an extra fee per each night stayed (they text me that morning and told me if I missed the presentation that they would charge me an extra $150 a night (still cheaper than paying the regular price on E

I called back three times, the first time I explained what happend and the woman transfers me and they hang up after I was on hold for 20 minutes. I called back and talked to another person who proceeded to tell me that she cant help me, then I called back a third time and threatened to get my bank after them if they didn' t fix this and the rep still didnt help. Needless to say I called my bank and explained what they did and my bank did reverse the charges and put a block on bookvip from being able to reach my account if they were to ever attempt to charge me for anything.
I saw the bookvip.com website and mistakenly signed up and paid for a trip to Cancun. Afterwards I read all the reviews on TA and became very concerned since I already booked my (ta && ta.queueForLoad ? ta.queueForLoad : function(f, g)document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', f);)(function()ta.trackEventOnPage('postLinkInline', 'impression', 'postLinks-78773500', '');, 'log_autolink_impression');airline for my family. I called them to request them to cancel and refund my money as I can book directly to the hotel by paying more but atleast I will have a peace of mind and relax. But they refused to refund me the money. I called the actual hotel and talk to them about legitimacy of bookvip and they felt comfortable that there should be no problem as they get people from book vip.
I still cannot risk my trip as we are going with our two kids. I am now thinking of booking another hotel directly with a free cancellation just in case if bookvip calls me one week before my trip to cancel my reservation then I will go to the other hotel and not atleast ruin my family vacation.
After my trip I will definitely write a review of what worked or not. I have spent several hours on reading hundereds of posts on this topic. I wish some "real" posters would post their experience of a trip that went well with bookvip.. 041b061a72
